After my third visit to this hidden gem, I can truly say they are very consistent. The taste is always the same, and always good. The owner, Jesu, welcomed us with a warm ginger plain tea as a complimentary drink. It was a nice and kind gesture. This time tried their new dish, parotta mix—it’s a must-try! Very tasty and full of flavour. One more thing I really like is the price. For this quality of food and service, the prices are very fair. You really feel like you get good value for your money. This restaurant is not just for one-time visit. It’s a place I will keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

The freshly baked pastries, crispy hoppers, and rich sambol are absolutely unforgettable. And to complete this delightful experience, the complimentary Malala tea and ginger tea were the perfect finishing touch . King of Taste truly lives up to its name! The Batticaloa style Sri Lankan food is incredibly authentic, with rich flavors and perfectly balanced spices. The curries have that true Eastern Province taste fresh coconut, aromatic spices, and a delicious homemade feel. Every dish brings back the real flavors of Batticaloa. The service is warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for genuine Batticaloa-style Sri Lankan cuisine! ????????

We come from far and finally, we found a perfect spot to end our day with a great late night dinner. Food is simply awesome and the service is impeccable. It’s simply “Wow!!”, the way they welcome the customers and each and everyone is greeted with a complimentary masala tea or ginger tea including uber drivers. Complimentary gulab jamun is served as well for dine-ins. These complimentary stuffs are not cheap stuffs but that’s how they stand out among others. The gentleman even offered us regular size masala teas for our long drive back home. Proud to see a Sri Lankan restaurant that is doing so well. Please Stay like this and you guys will reach heights. I have never felt the taste of my home food except for when i ate here, it was BEYOND DELICIOUS!! Their food reminded me and made me miss my country so much. Initially, we discovered them in tiktok and my mother wanted to try the food for so long and when we did i gotta say it was a 100% worth it. I was so warmly welcomed and the service was incredible. This place deserves an overall 100/10. I would highly recommend this place for everyone who’s willing to experience a real Sri Lankan cuisine. I can’t wait to be back at their place!!!

Absolutely amazing experience! We had lunch with our family and enjoyed authentic Batticaloa food ????????. This lovely family-owned restaurant welcomed us with warm ginger tea and heartfelt hospitality . The food was delicious and truly made us feel like we were back home after many years. Highly recommend to anyone in Canada looking for real Batticaloa cuisine!

Very friendly first experience. I was given a ginger tea as we wait. We ordered beef devilled and cuttlefish devilled. Both were very good. Highly recommended. Will definitely go again.
